Terms of Use
Effective October 21, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Someone Prayed, operated by Kevin Hall in New York, USA ("we", "us"). They cover your use of the Someone Prayed app (formerly Prayback) and this website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Who can use Someone Prayed
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the app only with a parent or guardian's permission. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in details safe.
2. Community guidelines
Someone Prayed is a place of kindness and prayer. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to post, send or share anything that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens or mocks anyone, including for their faith or lack of faith;
- is hateful or demeaning toward people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any similar trait;
- is sexual, pornographic, violent or graphic;
- encourages self-harm, suicide or violence;
- is spam, advertising, a scam, or links to other sites;
- shares someone else's private information, such as phone numbers, addresses or health details, without their permission;
- impersonates another person, or is illegal or encourages illegal activity.
We automatically filter crude, sexual and hateful language. You can report any request, note or person, and block anyone so you no longer see what they post. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these guidelines, and suspend or permanently remove accounts responsible for it, without notice.
3. Your content
You own the requests, notes and updates you post. By posting, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display and share that content within the app so the service can work, for example showing your request to people who pray for it and on prayer cards you choose to share. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in routine backups for a short time. You confirm you have the right to post what you share. We may remove any content at our discretion.
4. Prayer is not professional help
Someone Prayed is a place to share prayer, not a medical, mental health, legal or emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number. In the US you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Written prayers, including prayer cards drafted with Apple Intelligence, are offered for encouragement and may not always be perfect. Please read them before you share them.
5. Plus and Supporter purchases
- Praying for others and asking for prayer are free. Someone Prayed Plus is an optional one-time purchase, and Supporter is an optional monthly or yearly subscription that includes Plus.
- Purchases are made through your Apple ID and are subject to Apple's terms. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before renewal. You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in your iPhone's Settings under your name, then Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.
- Features included with Plus or Supporter may change over time; we'll describe them in the app.
6. The app and its license
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Someone Prayed on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app, interfere with how it works, or use it to send automated or bulk activity. The app, its design, prayer cards, images and name belong to us or our licensors.
7. Ending your use
You can stop using Someone Prayed and delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or misuse the app.
8. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties of any kind, including that the app will be uninterrupted, error free or meet your needs. We aren't responsible for content posted by other people.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
10. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims, or any claim that the app infringes someone's intellectual property; we are responsible for those to the extent required by these terms. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or on any US Government list of restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app. Continuing to use Someone Prayed after an update means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
